Lesaffre has collaborated with Hemerion Therapeutics by providing access to its cutting-edge laboratories at the Lesaffre Campus, France. Over the past year, Hemerion conducted pre-clinical work on their innovative therapies which are designed to enhance existing brain cancer treatments and increase the quality of life and survival of patients. The advanced capabilities of Lesaffre’s laboratories allowed Hemerion to perform tests on cancer cells using a comprehensive range of instruments, contributing to the development of their treatment plans in complete safety. Welcome to Lesaffre! Every year, Lesaffre welcomes a large number of interns and apprentices to its sites around the world. Surrounded and accompanied by our employees, our class of 2024 is preparing for experiences that will help them grow and get to know each other better. Respecting our environment is one of the three CSR pillars that Lesaffre is committed to! So on the occasion of World Cleanup Day, the entire Group took action to make our planet cleaner. With the mobilization of 330 employees spread across 10 countries, we collected more than 1,100 kg of waste! But that's not all, other initiatives have emerged such as the planting of 50 trees in Vietnam, the renovation of 2 classrooms in a school in Tunisia, or the creation of a "Zero Waste" game in Turkey. Lesaffre is pleased to announce the acquisition of Altar, a company owned by Ginkgo Bioworks, to strengthen its #Research , #Development and #Innovation (RD&I). This acquisition of skills and know-how complements the existing technologies of the Lesaffre Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and is part of its strategy to invest more and more in its RD&I equipment to best meet the needs of the Group's customers. Thanks to this technology, Lesaffre will be able to offer its clients more complex strains and improve the high quality of their products. “Today’s RD&I are the products of tomorrow,” says Christine Puel M’Rini , Chief RD&I Officer at Lesaffre. “By investing today in our innovation capacity, we give our research and development experts the means to develop healthier, more sustainable products that best meet the needs of our customers.
