Siam Commercial Bank launches stablecoin-based cross-border payments Lightnet, in collaboration with Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), Thailand’s oldest commercial bank, is proud to announce the launch of stablecoin-powered cross-border payment and remittance services. This partnership enables SCB clients to perform transactions 24/7, with a significant reduction in transaction costs. By leveraging stablecoin technology, customers can seamlessly send and receive cross-border payments at a fraction of traditional fees. These lower fees provide significant advantages, especially for individuals receiving remittances from higher-value currencies, making this solution ideal for both personal and business transactions.
