The requirements for the project, an energy-efficient system with variable use and visible installation at great heights, were perfectly implemented thanks to the experience of the planning office IBV Defièbre-Stefan together with our broad Lindab portfolio. When hosting events in public buildings with a large number of participants, it is crucial to ensure the highest level of fire protection. This was an important aspect in the planning and design of the ventilation system of the Alba Aréna. The multifunctional event and sports hall in Hungary, has a net floor area of almost 22,000 square meters. It can accommodate about 6,000 people for ice hockey matches, and up to 8,000 people for concerts and other events. The design and implementation of the building's ventilation and fire protection system was not an everyday task. October is the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the most common form of cancer in women. It is estimated that around 2 million women worldwide are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, and that over 500,000 die from it. This year, Lindab Poland organised a webinar where women from the office and production had the opportunity to listen to a lecture on the subject "How to prevent breast and cervical cancer". It was reported that the webinar was very popular and hopefully raised awareness of female cancer and encouraged women to go for more frequent screenings. Lindab’s Q3 result: Sales growth in a continued weak market Lindab’s sales increased by 3 percent and the Group reported the highest sales ever for a third quarter. Business Area Ventilation Systems, which accounts for approximately 75 percent of sales, continued to grow as a result of completed acquisitions. Business Area Profile Systems’ sales decreased slightly. The adjusted operating margin was 9.1 percent. To strengthen profitability, costs will be adjusted to lower demand in the coming quarters. A new study shows the critical importance of ventilation and maintaining low CO2 concentrations in indoor environments for mitigating disease transmission. It seems that ambient CO2 concentration correlates with SARS-CoV-2 (the coronavirus) aerostability and infection risk. A significant increase in SARS-CoV-2 aerostability is due to a modest increase in atmospheric CO2 concentration, an effect more obvious than that observed for changes in relative humidity. Lindab has entered a memorandum of understanding with Tata Steel Nederland regarding supplies of Zeremis® green steel. The agreement demonstrates Lindab's dedication to purchasing the green steel that Tata Steel intends to manufacture using the hydrogen route, which is more environmentally friendly and cleaner than Tata Steels current steelmaking process. "Lindab aims to create a better climate, in part by contributing to a better indoor climate with our products, and in part by contributing to a better global climate by working in a sustainable way. For us to be successful in this mission we need to work with the right partners to minimise the impact in our supply chain.
