#HongKong's first and largest in-mall cycling league, Tour de Link returns this August for its fourth year to promote healthy living through a new theme – Beyond Limits! #Link’s Chief Operating Officer Ex. Mainland China Greg Chubb was joined by Dr Lam Ching-choi, non-official member of Hong Kong’s Executive Council; Permanent Secretary for Housing and Director of Housing Rosanna Law and Hong Kong cycling legend and three-time Asian Games gold medallist Wong Kam-po, as well as former Hong Kong’s elite cycling athletes Marco Kwok and Jamie Wong in the opening ceremony at TKO Spot today.
 
From August 7 to September 1, six #LinkREIT malls in #HongKong will be transformed into indoor cycling competition venues, challenging residents to push their limits and compete for individual and district glory.

#Link announced today that Duncan Owen will succeed Nicholas Allen as the Chairman of the Board effective 2 August 2024. Allen will retire from the Board after serving as Chair for the past nine years. Link’s CEO George Hongchoy said,“We are indebted to Nick for providing his wisdom and leadership over the past years and I have enjoyed working with him tremendously. All of us at Link wish him all the very best as he starts a new chapter and we will all miss him dearly. We continue to build and strengthen our capabilities with key appointments both on our Board and management team and I am excited to work with our new leadership to drive Link’s next phase of growth.”

The Board also announced the appointment of Ann Kung Yeung Yun-chi as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Last Friday, Jurong Point welcomed Singapore’s Minister for National Development Desmond Lee and Minister for Transport Hong Tat Chee, along with delivery personnel and representatives from the National Trades Union Congress and government agencies. The delegation aimed to learn about our initiatives designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of delivery riders.

#LinkREIT malls bolster their role as community hubs by providing daily convenience to various visitors. For example, since early 2022, Jurong Point has offered subsidised season parking spots for delivery riders and enhanced the Wi-Fi connection in the basement carparks to reduce disruptions for their order collection. We also provide sheltered bicycle lots in key ground-level locations for easy mall access. With an encouraging take-up rate, our team established a WhatsApp group in 2023 with over 130 delivery riders to facilitate two-way communication on site conditions and parking issues.
 
We thank the Ministers and the delegation for their visit to Jurong Point and will continue to collaborate with the relevant agencies to support the safety and convenience of all visitors.

Congratulations to Arts' Options for completing a successful performance tour in Singapore sponsored by Link Together Initiatives last week! For the past four years, #Link has been working with this #NGO to promote active ageing through professional theatre training for #HongKong seniors.
 
The touring group of 17 senior performers, aged 58 to 75, captivated Singapore audiences at the China Cultural Centre with their Cantonese comedy play "King Li, Final Escape", an adaptation of Shakespeare's King Lear. This special production, supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore, was part of the inaugural "Hong Kong Culturtainment Festival". Another highlight of the tour was the showcase of six entertaining monologues performed in Cantonese at Jurong Point and AMK Hub, two shopping malls managed by Link. These senior performers not only demonstrated that age is no barrier to creativity and passion for drama, but also left a lasting impression on everyone!
