 | The London Competition looks to recognise, reward and help promote wine, beer, and spirit brands that have successfully been created to identify with and target a specific drinker. For any brand to earn its place on a retailer’s shelf or a restaurant’s wine/beer/spirits list -  and then vitally stay there - they need to be marketable and consumer driven and not just produced in the general hope it can find enough people willing to sell and buy it.

With over 8 years in London’s luxury bar scene, including icons like Baccarat Bar at Harrods, Giusy is now Global Red Hand Campari at Campari Group . Her passion for travel and cultural exploration inspires her unique creations, making her a true visionary in the industry. Next, we have Enrico Chiappini , the Head Bartender at the renowned DUKES London . With nearly 20 years of experience, Enrico’s career began in fine dining and evolved to bar mastery. Known for his long-standing role at Dukes Bar, he’s seen it all and is here to share his insights into the art of guest experience. Starting with Michele Becatti , who has been a pivotal part of the bar and hospitality industry for 15 years. Michele launched his career in 2007 as a bartender at Bar La Fonte in Italy, later moving to London to work with elite venues like Inception Group and Sushi Samba. Now, as the Bar Manager at Novikov Doha, Michele continues to elevate the bar scene with his dedication and expertise. Joining Michele is Tom Byrne , Bar Manager at The Hoxton, Holborn. With over a decade in the industry, Tom excels at overseeing entire beverage programs, whether for a single bar or multiple locations. His passion for seasonal British and European flavors, craft spirits, and sustainable methods fuels his creativity. Skilled in menu design and costing, Tom’s innovative approach shines in every glass. And finally, Claudia Carrozzi brings over 20 years of international hospitality experience to the table. Leading the beverage program for Cunard luxury cruise liners since 2021, she’s crafted unforgettable experiences for guests worldwide. As the first female president of the UK Bartenders Guild, Claudia has championed bar professionals globally, and her vast expertise makes her a force in the world of spirits education and judging. 🍸 Meet our London Spirits Judges: Diana Aladzic, originally from Serbia, began her hospitality career with a degree in Hotel Management from Budapest Business School. While interning in the Canary Islands, she discovered her passion for bartending, leading her to train in Amsterdam at the European Bartender School. From The Butcher’s speakeasy to Freddy’s Bar in Hotel De L’Europe, Diana has now made her mark in London, crafting memorable experiences. Ali Ali began as a barista, cultivating a love for coffee and spirits, which brought him to London to join Oriole’s opening team. His passion for design is evident in his creative glassware and garnishes, and he specializes in unique ingredients. Matteo Aristei , with over four years in the bar industry, now serves as Assistant Bar Manager at 14 Hills, part of D&D London.
