It is known for its Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX), which is dedicated to sustainable finance and includes a platform for trading sustainable securities. The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) is the gateway to access international investors with a unique and integrated service offering covering listing, trading, information services and reporting.

Unlike other exchanges, our core focus is on the listing of international securities. Our 90-year experience, combined with our established listing procedures, attract a wide range of issuers to Luxembourg. With 37,000+ securities listed, including 33,000 debt instruments, from 2,000 issuers in over 100 countries, we understand the needs of international capital markets and their participants.

We operate two markets: an EU-regulated market, called the “Bourse de Luxembourg” market, and the Euro MTF, an exchange-regulated market. All securities are tradable on Euronext’s Optiq platform.

In 2016, we launched the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX), which remains the leading platform dedicated exclusively to green, social and sustainable securities. In 2020, LGX was recognised as “Environmental Finance’s Exchange of the Year” for the 4th consecutive year at the Environmental Finance Bond Awards. Later that year, LGX was also awarded the prestigious 2020 UN Global Climate Action Award for its contribution to accelerating financing for climate-friendly investment. 

In 2019, we launched LuxXPrime, a dedicated window on our trading platform dedicated to retail-sized orders. With EUWAX AG as Prime Liquidity Provider, LuxXPrime makes it simple and secure for private and professional investors to trade retail-sized bonds, including Green, Social and Sustainability Bonds.

And the Green Resolutions Awards go to... 

During our Spring Townhall last Friday, we held a special award ceremony to celebrate the end of our Green Resolutions Challenge! 

Since the start of February, as part of our company-wide challenge: 

- Our Communication & Marketing team saved 1,000+ elevator trips 
- Our Sales & Relationship Management team held a Green Friday Exchange to promote a circular economy 
- Our Listing & Regulatory Affairs team avoided 1201 kg Co2 by favouring more environmentally modes of transport 
- & much more 

Each team received a special Green Resolution Certificate to commemorate their efforts but we’re sure that some of the sustainable habits that we put in place at LuxSE since February are here to stay! 

Congratulations and well done to all involved! Let’s go together towards a greener world.  

2 weeks ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from Pro Mujer to our exchange on International Women’s Day to celebrate the listing of its ARS 370 million gender bond on LuxSE! 🔔 

To celebrate this important listing and to learn more about the nonprofit organisation’s more than 30 years of work for women in Latin America, we sat down with its CEO Carmen Correa.
