In a recent letter to the Treasury, more than a dozen Senators are calling for modifications to the IRA’s 45V tax credit to help catalyze the clean hydrogen market. As a sustainable infrastructure investor, operator, and market builder, Generate is excited for the role clean hydrogen can play in decarbonizing the economy – and we believe aligned legislation is a crucial component to building emerging clean technology markets. We support the Senators’ letter and ongoing industry efforts to create clearer hydrogen production pathways.

Generate is thrilled to announce our £38 million investment in GrowUp Farms, the UK's best-selling vertical farm. Vertical farming uses less land to grow crops closer to population centers, making it a key piece in decarbonizing how we grow our food. This investment builds on our existing partnership with GrowUp as the company expands rapidly to meet growing demand and provide a sustainable, reliable supply of ready-to-eat salads to the UK’s largest retailers. We are excited to continue supporting the GrowUp team in producing locally grown, pesticide-free greens that are good for customers and our planet.

Congratulations to Blue Bird Corporation for being selected to receive an $80 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to accelerate school bus electrification. The grant will help Blue Bird convert a Georgia-based manufacturing site into a state-of-the-art electric school bus factory.
 
This latest grant funding marks yet another exciting step in Blue Bird and Generate's effort to meet the increasing demand for electric school buses. Last year, we announced our joint venture Clean Bus Solutions. 
 
Clean Bus Solutions’ fleet electrification-as-a-service offering makes it simpler for school districts to upgrade to EVs by offering a turnkey electrification solution that includes Blue Bird’s electric school buses, financing of both EVs and charging infrastructure, project planning and management, and fleet and charging optimization. 
 
We are excited for the momentum as we work to protect students' health and advance large-scale electrification across the U.S.
