Why we need to go beyond Generative AI? Generative AI models (like ChatGPT) are all the rage; unlike traditional AI systems, generative AI models can create entirely new content with human-like responses by analyzing and imitating the underlying patterns in the data they were trained on. And they are great. But as good as Generative AI models are, they have limitations. They can identify patterns and generate plausible outputs, but lack the deeper comprehension required for effective long-term planning that accounts for complex, evolving scenarios and unforeseen circumstances. Their outputs will be constrained by the patterns and information present in the original training set. By injecting human intervention in the form of domain expertise , combining generative AI with databases (as companies such as Microsoft are doing ) and applying other state of the art techniques such as RAG or Retrieval Augmented Generation, we make Generative AI even better. This is why Makebell is actively exploring and incorporating all of these as part of AI+, which it incorporates into its SmartFAQs which answers questions, for example on virtual asset regulations in Hong Kong.
