This month, our team at the Maple Leaf Centre for Food Security hosted the fifth annual Food Security Symposium! It was an excellent day of insights and knowledge sharing which truly reinforced the urgency to work across sectors and implement solutions to reduce food insecurity in Canada. It’s a devastating but true reality that in Canada, almost 9 million people experienced food insecurity in 2023. This is a growing crisis that will take a collective effort for change. He decided to open his own company, at the time named Viau, by converting his home into a fully operational industry specialized in dry pepperonis!
