Victoria is poised to receive a substantial boost in venture capital with the arrival of eight new VC funds collectively aiming to raise over $300 million, thanks to new backing from LaunchVic, the state’s startup agency.

We are delighted to announce that Synthesis Capital is one of the funds that will each secure a $300,000 grant under LaunchVic’s VC Support Program.

Last week, Buzz Palmer and Matthew Frith alongside our invited guest speakers, Trevor Holloway and Aya Fujii from Austrade Osaka, spoke with 8 participating companies in Osaka, Japan.  

As part of the Global Navigator Japan-Melbourne 2024 program, the seminar covered topics on the healthcare ecosystem in Australia and different considerations in international expansion. 

We were delighted that the seminar sparked meaningful conversations and thought processes about bringing their innovations into Australia and the rest of the world.   

It is always amazing to be part of this journey of sharing meaningful and impactful healthcare innovations with the world. We were glad to meet the participants in person and are looking forward to meeting them again in October!
