We are grateful for the individuals that alerted us to this situation and have taken immediate action to address this problem. Please note that Mercari recruiters will never ask you to pay upfront fees or pay them via cash, Zelle or Paypal. Legitimate emails from Mercari will always come from an email address that ends in mercari.com. We urge you to check our website to determine whether the job posting is real. The FTC recently issued a consumer alert on this growing trend and has resources to help you spot job scams. If you spot a scam, report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

We’re excited to announce 0% selling fees on Mercari! Today we became the first major U.S. marketplace to eliminate selling fees across our platform for new and updated listings. Sellers can opt into the new fee structure now by manually updating their current listings.
