Africa GreenTec creates impact that is already making a real difference in the lives of thousands of people in #Africa. Currently, around 22% of people in sub-Saharan Africa are affected by #malnutrition and over half of the residents have no access to electricity. In addition, 9% of total #electricity consumption is generated by #diesel generators, which is not only extremely harmful to the climate and unhealthy, but also expensive.

Torsten Schreiber's team therefore wants to improve the local #supply of good #bread and baked #goods and create jobs with two solar-powered container bakeries in Senegal. The SOLARBAKERY is a unique solution that addresses all of the problems described above. Thanks to its innovative #container solution, the SOLARBAKERY can be easily transported to the most remote areas, works completely self-sufficient thanks to the integrated #solar system, powered by bifacial Meyer Burger solar modules.

At Crowd4Climate there is the opportunity to participate in a solar #bakery that is being set up by Africa GreenTec in a village in the #Sahel to provide people in rural areas with #healthy, regional #bread at fair prices, which is baked with 100% #renewable #energy.
