🌟 Recap of our quarterly Engineers Meetup 🌟 We just wrapped up another insightful quarterly Engineers Meetup at Mirumee HQ, where our team gathered—both in person and online—to share, learn, and inspire. Four of our engineers delivered powerful presentations that sparked engaging discussions and broadened our collective knowledge. Here’s a quick look at the highlights: 🔹 Damian Lis shared his insights on creating a design system for one of our clients. He noted, “By sharing various solutions across our projects, we expand the collective knowledge of the entire company. This leads to interesting discussions and often allows us to rethink previously established perspectives.” Reflecting on the experience, he mentioned that presenting enabled him to "fully understand the solutions being presented, organize his knowledge, and, of course, practice public speaking skills." 🔹 Kacper Machel presented on “Saleor Shift - Improving Migration Processes Together & What's New in Smyth.” He values presenting because "it helps organize one’s knowledge and often makes you realize how much you still don’t know."This mindset of continual learning is key to keeping our solutions innovative and effective. 🔹 Jan Chodorowski presented on “Typescript on the Backend” as part of our goals for 2024 to streamline project implementations with full-stack TypeScript solutions. Jan highlighted the importance of holistic thinking, where "understanding the entire stack enables developers to approach solutions from a business perspective, analyze potential challenges, and focus on implementation details once strategic value is identified." This aligns with our aim to nurture full-stack developers capable of managing projects end-to-end and delivering impactful results. 🔹 Damian Czajkowski rounded out the event with his talk on AWS Lambda Performance Hacks. He chose this topic to share over a year’s experience in programming AWS Lambda. “I wanted participants to learn how to write Lambdas in a way that lowers TCO and improves application performance,” he noted. “The presentation also aimed to raise awareness within the company about certain Lambda behaviors that might be unexpected until we dive deeper into how they operate.” Each presentation was followed by a lively Q&A, which continued as we gathered for pizza. It was a perfect close to a day filled with learning, connecting, and aligning with our vision of technical excellence.
