We recently kicked off an electric vehicle battery swapping demonstration on public roads in Kyoto! In collaboration with Yamato Transport Co., Ltd and Ample, the eCanter's batteries can be quickly swapped using Ample's fully automated stations. Yamato Transport will test collection and delivery operations. Together with our partners, we aim to expand EV truck adoption and offer more sustainable business solutions for our customers.

The eCanter SensorCollect is a garbage collection truck based on the all-electric light-duty #eCanter , equipped with SAE Level 2 automated driving features. In collaboration with Japan's Ministry of Environment, a demonstration was conducted in Kawasaki. The development of clean and efficient EV garbage collection trucks is expected to continue as cities around the country move to sustainable solutions.

As part of the Japan government's development assistance program (ODA), the African nation of Eswatini is being supplied with water-related equipment, including two FUSO truck chassis 🚛🚛. 

Upon delivery, Daimler Truck Southern Africa Ltd, Eswatini’s authorized distributor, conducted driver training to ensure safe vehicle operation. This initiative aims to improve water access and mitigate the impact of drought, contributing to Eswatini’s socio-economic development and stability.
