The AI Act presents a progressive definition of AI, based on product safety and risk:
>Minimal risk: No obligations for systems like recommender systems and spam filters.
>Specific transparency risk: AI like chatbots must disclose they are AI; AI-generated content and biometric systems need clear labeling.
>High risk: Systems for recruitment, loans, or autonomous robots must meet strict requirements, including risk mitigation, data quality, logging, documentation, user information, human oversight, robustness, accuracy, and cybersecurity.
