Movens Capital manages VC fund oriented on supporting tech companies focusing on European and the US markets. As VC investors, we mainly invest in seed and series A rounds. The main investment categories that we are looking at are AI-driven companies, fintech, SaaS and platforms (marketplaces) as well as deep tech  & industry 4.0. We believe that machine learning will deeply change business environment in coming years. 

We provide also pragmatic and effective pricing and revenue management solutions through Movens Advisory to seal existing or potential profit leakages and/or improve top line performance

At Movens Capital, we are committed to providing tech companies with essential knowledge and resources for success (#MovensAcademy). We recently conducted a comprehensive workshop on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), led by Stefan from Samira Advisors (thanks a lot!), to prepare companies from our close network for future growth and acquisition opportunities. 
Key Highlights: 
📚 Introduction to M&A: The workshop began with an overview of the M&A process, emphasizing the importance of early preparation and strategic positioning for a successful merger or acquisition. 
⏱ Timing and Valuation: Discussions included the optimal timing for selling a company and how to navigate the valuation differences between the venture capital and M&A markets. 
🤝 Strategic Partnerships: The significance of establishing strong strategic partnerships was highlighted as a key factor in increasing a company's attractiveness for acquisition. 
💼 Financial and Legal Preparedness: The workshop stressed the need for financial stability and thorough legal documentation, underscoring these as critical elements in the M&A process. 
🔄 Shareholder Alignment: The importance of aligning the interests of all shareholders to avoid potential conflicts during an acquisition was explored in detail. 
🎉 Post-Acquisition Considerations: The session concluded with insights into the post-acquisition phase, focusing on cultural adjustments and the challenges of integration. 
This workshop is part of Movens VC's ongoing effort to support our portfolio companies and ecosystem through their growth and development stages, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities of M&A activities.

🏆 The investment secured by our portfolio company, Alokai (previously Vue Storefront), has been recognized as the 2023 Deal of the Year! This prestigious award underscores the transformative impact of Alokai's vision on the global ecommerce market. As a reminder, Movens Capital (together with SMOK Ventures) invested in the company in a seed round in 2021. In 2023, the company raised $20 million - the largest financing round in #Poland first half of 2023. This translated into a 15x increase in the company's valuation compared to the seed round. Currently, the Alokai solution is used by nearly 3,000 online stores worldwide. Congratulations to the Alokai team and the other finalists: Contec S.A., Piwik PRO and Telemedi - Digital Health Platform & Telehealth Provider!
 
In addition, Movens Capital was recognized as one of the four finalists for the #VCFund of the Year award. We are proud that our support for the best Polish/CEE companies has been awarded by the VC/PE industry. Our companies have raised nearly EUR 100M in additional funding to date (8x the rounds at our entry), and in 2023, our portfolio companies' annual revenues exceeded EUR 70M, an increase of 110% YoY.

The first part of the event, "VCs on the Stage", will feature a reverse pitching session by the best VC funds in #Poland and #CEE region! You will be able to listen to the presentations of:

The final part of the event, which will start at, 8:00 PM, is the Tłusty Czwartek Networking Party!
This will be a great opportunity for startups to talk to VCs over delicious donuts!
