🎂 Today, mRelief celebrates 10 years of making that vulnerable moment when people ask for help a little bit easier. In the past decade, our digital tools have assisted 1,917,675 households access $1.7 billion in SNAP benefits across the country. We could present a long list of the milestones along our journey, from our Y Combinator days to our recent AI research projects conducted alongside Google .org and the GitLab Foundation , but we would rather share the most influential perspective on our work: what our users have said. mRelief asks each of our users to rate their experience on a scale of 1-10 and to share any feedback on the process. mRelief is proud to have participated in the inaugural Google.org Accelerator: Generative AI! With support from talented engineers and product specialists at Google, we developed a GenAI-powered chatbot designed to empathetically assist clients who choose to apply for SNAP on their own. Last month, we launched a pilot of the chatbot in South Carolina that is trained to help with issues that have prevented clients from applying in the past, as well as answer South Carolina specific policy questions.
