Believing our bags should have long – if not multiple - lives, Mulberry offer customers artisanal repair and restoration services at our Lifetime Service Centre in Somerset. In 2020 we also introduced two new propositions: The Mulberry Exchange, a circular resale platform offering authenticated pre-loved Mulberry bags, including rare and archive styles, and Buy-Back, a service allowing customers the opportunity to trade in their existing Mulberry bag for credit towards a new purchase.

This Valentine’s Day, we’ve partnered with SSAW Collective on their annual campaign asking 'Why buy Roses in February?', showcasing the environmental impact of importing out-of-season flowers and highlighting the importance of taking a more seasonal and ethical approach to buying and gifting flowers. 
 
A community of chefs, growers and florists seeking to make positive changes in our food and floral systems, SSAW Collective advocate for transparent sourcing practices and the use of seasonal produce, promoting more considered ways of working which have the capacity to make positive ecological progress in their respective industries. 
 
The conditions for roses to grow all year round do not exist, not least in the UK, and so - as a result of the teeming demand - 8 million roses are imported into the UK every year during the Valentine’s period. These 570 tonnes of flowers are sourced mainly from the Netherlands, Kenya and Ethiopia, creating huge carbon emissions, as well as high energy, water and pesticide usage. 
 
SSAW Collective’s commitment to traceability mirrors Mulberry’s own approach to sustainable practice, with transparency in our supply chain - from farm to factory to shop floor - being at the heart of our Made to Last Manifesto. The flowers pictured in our campaign are in-season alternatives, ethically sourced by SSAW Collective.

Our sustainability team were thrilled to host the first in-person Made to Last Ambassador event on January 31st at the Mulberry showroom in our Kensington head office, after meeting virtually since launch in September 2023.
 
The one-day event was a wonderful opportunity for our Made to Last Ambassadors – Mulberry employees passionate about sustainability – to gather for a day of learning and collaboration. 
 
The Ambassadors play a crucial role in advancing our sustainability strategy, and we were delighted to have inspiring guest speakers – including Supply Chain Director, Rob Billington, who opened the event; Sara Grady and Alice V Robinson from British Pasture Leather; Deborah Taylor,  PQCI, ASLTC from the Sustainable Leather Foundation; Louise Self (née Bingham) from The Felix Project; and Charli Adamson from Ecologi | B Corp™ – guiding insightful discussions on the day.
 
The Made To Last Ambassadors scheme is an ongoing initiative, welcoming all Mulberry employees to join this transformative journey toward a more sustainable future. Thank you to everyone who took part.

The Outsiders Perspective has collaborated with the British Fashion Council and The Fashion Minority Report, supported by knowledge partner McKinsey & Company, on the UK’s first Fashion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Report (DEI).
 
The report sets out the compelling business cases for making DEI a crucial part of a business strategy, with measurable levers to help accelerate widespread industry improvements, as well as talent recruitment and retention strategies.

This festive season, come behind the scenes of a Mulberry campaign shoot, as we show the sheer determination it takes to capture that perfect shot.

In a series of playful vignettes, filmmaker and creative director Bunny Kinney captures our colourful cast of characters in a cinematic range of mises en scène: from the baby more interested in getting their hands on a shiny Mulberry bag than smiling for the camera, to the defiant dog-actor that no one can find. When Bunny yells “Action!”, there’s no guarantee what they’ll get. It’s a festive miracle that they capture anything at all…

Last week, storytelling platform PRIM hosted the first instalment of its new event series in London, "A Mixtape On Duality", which Mulberry was proud to support.
 
Founded by K Bailey Obazee, Prim is dedicated to educating, connecting, documenting and sharing the myriad of ways people of Black ancestry tell their stories.
 
Created for PRIM’s Queer Black community and allies, A Mixtape On Duality explored the ways in which Black people learn, educate, and share parts of themselves, as well as the impact it has on their identities. 
 
The one-day event included screenings of three Black queer films – The Aggressives, Young Soul Rebels and Kokomo City – as well as talks with cultural figures from the Black community: Kazeem Kuteyi of New Currency, artist Rachel Jones, and cultural curator and DJ, Sippin’ T. There were also free books from the PRIM bookshop available for visitors to enjoy throughout the day.

Introducing the Pimlico, our contemporary take on the quintessential British satchel. Crafted from smooth Super Lux Leather, the Pimlico’s clean-lined silhouette contrasts with its bold new Pimlico Lock – a graphic reworking of our equestrian-inspired classic Rider’s Lock. Available in classic and small, our new staple style is designed for day-to-night dressing.

To debut the Pimlico, photographer Esther Theaker headed to the English countryside for an early-morning shoot. The dream-like images – featuring musician, composer, and artist Okay Kaya in incongruous styling – call attention to the Pimlico’s contrasting design elements and youthful spirit.
