Today's #linewednesday📅☝️ is about product feeding solutions for medical and pharmaceutical products.

When it comes to the automation of packaging processes, product feeding and product handling play a central role.

Every product needs its individual feeding system. In our example, you can see the infeed of bulk material: the products are oriented and separated in a vibratory bowl. After that, they are transported in guided bars to a turntable. Here, always two products are presented in the correct position for pick and place. After picking the first product, the table turns and takes the next product.

In our today's LineWednesday📅☝️ we are presenting an interesting customer project for medical devices for eye 👀surgery:

The packaging line consists of a thermoforming packaging machine with two handling modules for loading the individual products into the packaging machine and separating the finished packages, a printer and two vision systems. 
The products are fed to the loading module via transport trays, from where they are automatically picked up and placed in the cavities of the thermoforming packaging machine. The empty trays are automatically discharged. Before the top film is sealed with the bottom film, it is printed inline, and the printed image and the products are checked using vision systems. The packs are then cut and loaded from there into further transport trays and fed to the next process step.
