🌱 **Sustainability at the Heart of Davana Distillation** 🌿 As we celebrate the commencement of Davana distillation this February in the South of India, it's imperative to highlight the unparalleled dedication and expertise of our agronomists at nako naturals Group. Since June 2023, their involvement has been nothing short of transformative, guiding our journey from meticulous preparation, nursery establishment in November, to the final crop, with a keen focus on watering optimization. "Working closely with our farmers, we've navigated the challenges posed by climate variations, ensuring the growth of Davana herb across our contract farming regions," says Haris Naina , a testament to the resilience and adaptability of our team. Despite the slight yield fluctuations and the current higher temperatures that pose a challenge to distillation, our agronomists' proactive measures and strategic planning have been pivotal. As we proceed with distillation, initiated on the 7th of February, it's crucial to recognize the normal crop size expected, thanks to our carryover stock, which promises to stabilize prices amidst fluctuating demand. However, the yield is slightly lower, emphasizing the importance of securing purchases early. The initial quality of Davana oil looks promising, although the forthcoming climate conditions will be a critical factor. Our commitment extends beyond cultivation to ensuring fair compensation for our farmers, reinforcing sustainable cultivation practices and supporting good agricultural practices. The journey from the final crop survey in mid-January, through the start of harvesting and sun-drying on the 6th and 7th of February, to the ongoing distillation process, reflects our commitment to sustainability and excellence.
