Listening and learning from employees is one way we improve. First and second shift employees at our Moultrie, Georgia facility sat down and talked with General Manager, Steve Hicks. Over a good meal, they had an in-depth discussion and provided suggestions for their departments. Listening sessions like these at all our facilities are so valuable to our success as a company.

Big congratulations to our Hummels Wharf team for achieving an incredible AA+ score on our 2024 British Retail Consortium Global Standard Food Safety Audit. This new designation of the (+) shows the audit was unannounced, meaning the facility was assessed without any prior notice. The auditor arrived to find everything running smoothly — proof that our team truly lives "BRCGS ready every day." The team’s daily commitment and individual integrity have set a new standard for excellence. Celebrations for the achievement included a mini-donut and taco truck event! Thank you to everyone at Hummels Wharf for continuing to set the bar high!

Hosting interns is a summer highlight at National Beef, and we make sure to give these young professionals comprehensive and interesting experiences on the job.
