A big part of my role is optimising our infrastructure for both performance and scalability. We’ve been using a mix of RTX 3090s locally and A100s in the cloud, balancing cost with the needs of our ever-growing models. The 3090s handle a lot of our day-to-day training while the A100s help us scale up. However, cloud availability of A100s can be inconsistent across providers. While we’re now throwing H100s in the mix, simply throwing bigger GPUs at the problem doesn’t always result in proportional speed gains. As we are constantly streaming our output, issues like inefficient parallelism can lead to diminishing returns. This is where smart engineering becomes crucial. At Neuphonic, managing and monitoring scale and throughput is key to maintaining low latency as we push the boundaries of real-time AI speech generation. Optimising for both speed and quality remains a constant challenge, but we’re confident we can continue delivering cutting-edge text-to-speech performance. #AI #DeepLearning #ScalingLimits #A100 #H100 #Infrastructure #Neuphonic
