In celebration of the New Year, we’d like to congratulate our team for a year of record-breaking accomplishments! In 2023, we continued bringing cleaner and greener energy to the people who need it most around the world. In response to FEMA’s request for emergency power in Puerto Rico, we developed power sites in Palo Seco and San Juan to bring additional support to the island’s energy grid. Our subsidiary, GeneraPR, was awarded a contract to manage all of Puerto Rico’s power generation system, including 17 power sites and 1.5mm customers. We achieved First Gas at our first Fast LNG unit in Altamira, Mexico, a major milestone for our project and the world of LNG. We signed an FSRU charter agreement with Petrobras for implementation at our LNG terminal in Santa Catarina, Brazil. We also closed financing to fully fund the construction of our power plant in Barcarena, Brazil. By partnering with customers worldwide to power their operations with LNG, we helped reduce their emissions by over 30%! Through our foundation, we continued to support the communities where we operate, providing hunger relief, educational support and supplies, and internship opportunities. We’re bringing cleaner, more affordable energy to southern Brazil! Construction of our Santa Catarina (TGS) terminal, strategically located to serve growing industrial and power demand, is complete, and the next milestone we are looking forward to is the arrival of the FSRU in January 2024. The first LNG terminal in the south of the country, Santa Catarina will provide much-needed natural gas to the energy-constrained region.
