[Nidec Shin-Kawasaki Technology Center hosts work experience program for junior high school students📚]
In early July, Nidec Shin-Kawasaki Technology Center in Kanagawa hosted two second-year students from nearby Kawasaki City Hiyoshi Junior High School for work experience.
The purpose of this program is to learn the importance and difficulties of working and to think more concretely about their future.
We agreed  with this purpose and  accepted the students with the hope that they will take an interest in motors and manufacturing.
On the day of the event, they had many experiences, including an introduction to Nidec, a tour of the center, making a coil motor, computer programming, making an original name plate using 3D CAD software and a 3D resin printer, and an interview with employees.
Although they seemed nervous at first, they gradually became comfortable and enthusiastically engaged in all the programs through communication with the employees.
We would be very happy if this experience could trigger their  interest in manufacturing.

【Nidec Group's CSR Activities🏃Supporting for the eradication of child labor】
The Nidec Group has more than 300 group companies in 47 countries around the world, and operates business with its workforce of about 100,000 employees. 
Our group’s individual business bases promote a wide variety of CSR activities based on their countries and cultures! 
In this post, we would like to introduce support for the eradication of child labor in the Philippines.
Nidec Philippines and Nidec Precision Philippines participated in the "Angel Tree Eco Run for a Cause," a charity run to eradicate child labor, held in May.
This activity is one of the events of the "Project Angel Tree" program offered by the Department of Labor and Employment, which aims to eradicate child labor and support the livelihood of affected children, with participants' registration fees and event proceeds going to financial aid for child laborers.
Nidec Group will continue to actively contribute to fundraising activities for various support purposes in each region where it operates.

[Nidec’s contributions to society📒Work experience for junior high school students]
Nidec accepted junior high school students for work experience at Nidec Park Building C in Kyoto for the first time.
During the work, the students listened to employees in charge of product development, quality assurance, and production technology in the Small Platform Motor & Solutions Business Unit, and deepened their understanding of their respective jobs and careers in order to help them think about "how they can be useful to society in the future”.
In addition, they experienced the fun of manufacturing by trying their hand at assembling simple motors and inspecting materials with an electron microscope.
One of the students commented, "After listening to the employees and experiencing their work, I realized that it takes a lot of hard work to make a single motor, and that they make safe motors”.

[The 3rd Nidec Clean Day was held in Kyoto! 🍃]
In May, about 100 employees from seven Nidec Group companies participated in the "Nidec Clean Day," an outdoor cleanup activity held around Nidec's Kyoto headquarters, Nidec Park Building C, and the nearest train station.
After the cleanup, participants joined a gathering and deepened engagement to enhance the sense of unity as One Nidec.
The Nidec Group is also conducting such cleanup activities at its bases in Vietnam, China, and other countries with the aim of contributing to the local communities in which it operates.

[Nidec’s Support for Development of Next Generation🌷Exhibition of Motor Craft Workshop at Keihanna Science Experience Festival]
Nidec Keihanna Technology Center exhibited a booth for a motor craft workshop at the 10th Keihanna Science Experience Festival for elementary school students organized by the Keihanna Science Communication Promotion Network in March.
This largest science experience event in the Keihanna area, where three prefectures meet, Kyoto, Osaka and Nara, is held to provide children with opportunities to experience the wonder and fun of science through science crafts and experiences.
250 elementary school students, selected by lottery from more than 1,000 applicants, were divided into 24 booths for this event.
This year was the sixth time we have exhibited, and 21 children participated in our workshop to learn about our company, motors and the environment. 
The Nidec Group will continue to actively contribute to nurturing the next generation in each region where it operates.

【Top Message of Automotive Motor & Electronic Control Business Unit】
Nidec Group is involved in a wide range of products centered on motors, which is divided into five business divisions.
One of these, Automotive Motor & Electronic Control Business Unit, is involved in the "E-Axle" traction motor system, which integrates the main components necessary for cars to "run," the motor for electric power steering that facilitates steering wheel operation when cars "turns," and the brake motor that enables cars to "stop”.
