We’re excited to announce the next stage of our customer first strategy with the launch of a new commercial platform – ofi Food & Beverage Solutions. Leading the new platform will be Sandeep Jain, who becomes Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for ofi, whilst continuing to oversee our Dairy business globally. 

In supporting a diverse range of customer requirements, the new platform will consolidate ofi’s current category solutions capabilities and innovation infrastructure to ensure the business is well positioned as a trusted, reliable partner to our customers in identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities. 

Those customers looking to co-create new consumer concepts or new application solutions will be supported by the new platform along with our four Customer Solutions Centers in Amsterdam, Bangalore, Chicago, and Singapore. Whilst customers seeking excellence in single ingredients, from sourcing to manufacturing, will continue to be supported by ofi’s five leading product platforms with their global origination and sourcing capabilities, competitive sustainability offering, and deep plant science and product innovation expertise.

This step change in our approach enables us to take our application and R&D capabilities to the next level so that we can provide an end-to-end integrated customer experience. One that is built on deep consumer, category, and application understanding – collaborating with customers to help make their ambitions real. 

As a proven business leader, we’re delighted to be welcoming Sandeep to his new role as CCO. With 26 years of experience working for Olam and deep expertise across all five ofi product platforms, Sandeep will have responsibility for driving sales excellence and customer centricity across the business. In leading the ofi F&B Solutions platform, Sandeep will oversee global strategy execution – enabling the platform to become a growth driver for the business.

In his new position, Roel will bring further focus to ofi’s rich experience and deep expertise in addressing the multiple social and environmental challenges in food supply chains such as farmer poverty, deforestation, and greenhouse gas emissions. 

As an industry leader with extensive experience across both ingredients and sustainability, Roel is well positioned to take responsibility for scaling ofi’s ability to drive positive impact across its five leading product platforms, building on the critical work that Gerry Manley – our previous CSO – played in developing and leading the company’s sustainability efforts and footprint. 

Roel’s 25 years of industry experience speaks for itself. From leading the award-winning sustainability insights management system AtSource to most recently being seconded as a co-founder of the wider industry led sustainability measurement digital platform TRACT – his strategic vision, business acumen and commercial leadership will help deliver on our purpose to Be the Change for Good Food and a Healthy Future.
