The company owns and operates 1,157 kilometers of cross-country crude oil pipelines; and 13 drilling rigs and 14 work-over rigs, as well as owns 10 crude oil pumping stations and 17 repeater stations in Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar states. Oil India Limited signed an MoU today at its Field Headquarters in #Duliajan with the Deputy Commissioner Office in #Namsai , #ArunachalPradesh , to implement an Aspirational district project in Namsai. As part of the MoU, OIL will provide financial assistance for the Installation of a Modular Operation Theatre (OT) system in the District Hospital in Namsai. The MoU was signed by Shri C R Khampa, Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, and Shri Madhujya Baruah, Executive Director (HR & FA), OIL, in the august presence of officials from the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Namsai and OIL officials. The modular OT will be a state-of-the-art operating room, equipped with advanced technology. It will help in minimising the existing healthcare infrastructure gaps. This comprehensive upgrade will transform the healthcare delivery system in Namsai, making advanced medical services accessible to all, and directly impacting lives. With this MoU, OIL reaffirms its commitment to social stewardship and sustainable development, aligning with national objectives while strengthening ties with communities of its operational regions. At #ADIPEC2024 , Ms Suranjana Sarmah, DGM (Electrical), RF and Mr Nitesh Kumar Rajak, Superintending Engineer( Electrical), FHQ jointly presented the paper titled, Conquering Challenges: A Case Study of Successful Project Execution (SPE-222214-MS). The paper presented a case study of the remarkable execution of the high CAPEX brownfield project of approximately $23 million in one of the remotest corners of Northeast India, amidst unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions stemming from the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Despite multifaceted adversities, the project is a testament to resilience and commitment, executed without time and cost overruns. The paper carefully examines and analyses the strategic decisions made to overcome various challenges encountered during different stages of project execution. Best practices followed from the concept till the commissioning of the project were the highlights of the paper. OIL successfully observed #VigilanceAwarenessWeek2024 from 28th Oct to 3rd Nov with the theme of “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”. This was preceded by a 3-month campaign that underscores OIL’s dedication to preventive vigilance with a focus on capacity-building programs, the identification and implementation of systemic improvement measures, updating of circulars, guidelines, and manuals, resolution of complaints received before 30th June, as well as focus on Dynamic Digital Presence. To raise awareness and instil a culture of integrity OIL organized a series of impactful activities in Duliajan and surrounding areas, including Digboi and Moran. Activities included drawing competitions in local schools, quizzes for the OIL fraternity, gram sabhas in nearby villages, and street plays in surrounding communities. A vendor awareness program was also conducted to create awareness about the importance of ethical business practices. OIL also amplified its efforts through extensive outreach initiatives, like posters, banners, radio jingles, and public talks. Additionally, a cycle rally was organized to foster community-wide participation and encourage citizens to uphold integrity in their daily lives.
