We’re excited to announce the launch of the Cloud Security Alliance's Working Group on Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). 

This initiative is led by Ryan Gifford, Research Analyst at CSA, and co-chaired by Joseph Wilson, Head of Strategic Innovation at Optalysys, and Jez Goldstone, FHE Ecosystem Expert.

Following on from an extremely busy first day demonstrating our systems at #dc32, we're here for a second day answering questions about our photonic computing technology for FHE . #Photonics are touted as one of the prevalent future modalities for quantum algorithms. Whilst the photonic universal quantum computing of Xanadu and PsiQuantum is some way off from full maturity, there are other companies looking to reap the benefits of the approach. Much like an ASIC is a specialised compute device, as opposed to a CPU, companies such as Optalysys are creating specific use-case photonic hardware which can bring these benefits to computing in the near term. Flipping the usual narrative around the ‘quantum threat’, this is a case where quantum is being used to enhance cryptography, not break it.
