We’re thrilled to share the news! Our team is all set to roll out not just one, but two ORCA PT-1 quantum photonic computing systems headed straight to the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) in Poland.

Yep, you heard it right! These systems are finding their new home right at the heart of the PSNC high-performance computing data center. And guess what? This setup isn't just groundbreaking, it's going to be one of the world's first setups of its kind in the quantum computing industry.

ORCA recently published another significant paper showing our novel approach to creating quantum resource states. 

Just as fuel powers a vehicle, resource states are the essential fuel for a photonic quantum computer. 

Our paper presents a set of tools which enable us to simplify how we design resource state generators while giving us the flexibility to navigate different architecture schemes and efficiently tailor them for current and future hardware capabilities. This approach will accelerate our path to fault tolerance.

Fantastic to see the launch of 5 UK quantum missions:

- A quantum computer capable of 1 trillion quantum operations and supporting quantum computing applications that go beyond current supercomputing capabilities.
- The world's most advanced quantum network
- Quantum sensing for the NHS
- Quantum navigation systems
- Networked quantum sensors

To be achieved by 2030-35.

This will allow us to focus on longer-term and coordinated opportunities than the usual funding mechanisms allow for.

Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) has selected ORCA to provide two PT-1 quantum photonic systems.

The systems will be installed at the PSNC’s high-performance computing data center located in Poznań, Poland and will accelerate its work in quantum computing across a range of scientific and application areas including biology, chemistry and machine learning.

PSNC is internationally renowned for its IT infrastructure in science and information and communication technologies. It will integrate ORCA's PT-1 quantum systems into its high-performance infrastructure to help advance critical scientific research and industrial innovation.
