This annual gathering offers an invaluable space to connect, exchange ideas, and prepare for the season ahead. Our partnerships are the backbone of our product development process, deeply woven into our DNA. The insights and feedback we receive from those who rely on our gear in the most demanding environments significantly shape our collections. 🔮 On Tuesday, we took a journey through time at the ORTOVOX International Sales Meeting in Munich’s Rio Filmpalast. Under the theme "Back to the Future," we looked ahead to our progressive Freeride Collection for Winter 2025/2026 while reflecting on the milestones that have shaped our journey. 🔙 Taking us on a true walk down memory lane, we were thrilled to welcome 💥 ORTOVOX FOUNDER AND SPECIAL GUEST GERALD KAMPEL on stage alongside our CEO Christian Schneidermeier . 🎤 Together, they reflected on the origins of the ORTOVOX name and logo as well as the development of the ORTOVOX F2, the first dual-frequency avalanche transceiver. ❄️ At a time when rescue devices operated on different frequencies, the F2 revolutionized avalanche safety by transmitting and receiving on both, securing ORTOVOX’s market-leading position within two years. Kampel's stories took us back to the early days – when ORTOVOX was a two-man operation – and had the audience laughing with his anecdotes. Today, we’re a team of 162, and his message was clear: success is always about the people you work with. 🤝💼 🙌🏾 What an inspiring conversation and a highlight of many from our opening event!

ORTOVOX x KENIAL 🧒🏽👶🏻👧🏿👩 Two years ago, our ORTOVOX colleague Barbara listened to the podcast "Ulligunde plauscht," featuring Anke Johansen from the children's aid organization KENIAL ( https://lnkd.in/d928cav2 ). Inspired by the project, Barbara contacted Anke, and since then, she has been regularly organizing the delivery of #ORTOVOX samples to the organization. ➡️ KENIAL combines ⛰️ mountain sports with supporting children in need 🌎 worldwide. Alongside athletes, KENIAL assists children's aid projects in different countries – helping orphaned children in Kenya, children with intellectual disabilities in Chile, and young nuns (starting at age 12) in Bhutan who live in monasteries due to poverty. And that's just a glimpse. KENIAL provides what kids really need. They thoroughly research the projects, identify the right local contacts, and handle logistics like cargo and customs. 💜 Their next project is in Chile: clothing for people with cognitive disabilities at a daycare center in Puerto Montt. There, everyone has already received ORTOVOX vests and pants. The most important thing: the gear is warm, protective, and durable, even in harsh conditions. ✂️ #Upcycling at its best! ✂️ ▶️ At #ORTOVOX , we’re always exploring ways to extend the life of our products. Recently, we teamed up with ForSchur , a Berlin-based label that specializes in upcycling and recycling premium wool fabrics, to give unsellable returns a second life. 👕 We sent a selection of T-shirts and long sleeves made from high-quality wool and wool-Lyocell fabrics, each with minor imperfections. The result? A limited-edition summer collection for kids, lovingly crafted by ForSchur in their Berlin workshop. Curious to see the final products? 🐑🐑 WELCOME TO THE MOUNTAIN PARADISE FOR SHEEP 🐑🐑 Since 1988, ORTOVOX has relied on wool, and since 2011, we’ve been incorporating Swisswool - nature your life into our insulation products. Swisswool is more than just a supplier to us – it's an initiative committed to supporting regional mountain farming and ensuring its survival. Over 25 collection points have been established across various Swiss valleys, where sheep farmers can bring their wool twice a year. ⛰️ Last week, we embarked on a journey to Haslital, Switzerland, together with French media and content creators. There, we visited wool farmers Ruth and Heinz Brog, who run a farm with around 500 ewes. Since the sheep spend their summers in the mountainous landscape of the Swiss Alps, we laced up our hiking boots and joined Heinz on a hike to Burgalp – with the great hope of spotting the sheep in their vast habitat. And we were not disappointed!
