What happens when our vehicles are de-polluted? ⚠️ When we de-pollute a vehicle, we remove all hazardous waste before the vehicle is dismantled. This means when the car is recycled, there are no harmful elements that end up in landfill ♻️ Some of the components we remove in this process include: → Fuel → Tyres → Oil filter → Batteries, both Lead Acid and Lithium → Wheels (contain lead) → Oils, fluids and liquids (like coolant and antifreeze) Both our facilities can safely store 3000 vehicles that are ready to be dismantled after their de-pollution. Today we’re shining a spotlight on our Logistics Manager, Debbie 🌟 Debbie joined us back in 2011 and quickly progressed in her role in a short space of time. Debbie is responsible for the co-ordination of all our vehicle collections and deliveries, she liaises with all our clients and manages the workload for our drivers. We’re not just super proud of the work Debbie does for us at Overton Automotive, but also in her personal life too. Debbie will be running the Aberdeen International Airport Runway Run at midnight on the 22nd June to raise money for two amazing charities 🏃♀️ The first charity is AberNecessities - a baby bank (also providing help for children up to the age of 18). They provide disadvantaged families with the essential and basic necessities that “No Child Should Go Without” across Aberdeenshire. The second charity is Forget-Me-Not Club Banchory - they provide dementia support across Aberdeen for those with dementia and also for their carers.
