Data Science Summit

Distributed analytics in IoT scenarios usually involves time series data. In the case of smart energy metering, we're talking about a steady stream of data, which means that, ideally, an analytical dashboard should be updated in real-time. Krzysztof Smogór, Software Engineer at Oxla, conducted a home experiment where he successfully employed our analytical database in a data pipeline used to monitor energy consumption. We're going to demonstrate this exact use at Konferencja EuroPOWER & OZE POWER at our booth on Thursday and Friday. Last but not least, Adam Szymański will be giving a speech on how Oxla enabled a major power grid operator to speed up daily reporting and detect anomalies in real-time.

Here's a little throwback to The Hack Summit two weeks ago. We had so many interesting conversations with incredibly knowledgeable and friendly people all day long! Of course, the Kubota x Oxla flip-flops were a huge hit with the attendees, and we're expecting our analytical database will be just as popular among cybersecurity professionals 🤓

Our team had a great time learning and networking at RetailTec Congress yesterday! ✌ We were especially impressed by how knowledgeable non-technical executives are about data science and their strong interest in enhancing data infrastructure to keep pace with growing data volumes. Today marks a major milestone for Oxla , and I’m proud to share that we’ve completed our seed round at $11M—one of the largest seed funding rounds not only in Poland but also in CEE in recent years. This wouldn’t have been possible without my co-founder, Kacper Szczesniak . Few people know that Oxla started in 2019 as an experiment, with me spending a year figuring out if it was possible to build a completely new kind of analytical database solution. In 2020, I began building the prototype. Kacper, strongly believing in my vision, became one of Oxla’s first angel investors, and it wasn’t long before he decided to join as co-founder and CEO. Fast forward to today, we’re now a 49-person strong team of amazingly talented people, all aligned in the same direction: shaking up the data infrastructure space. I’m beyond grateful to each and every one of you for your dedication and hard work. I’m also incredibly grateful to our investors: TQ Ventures , Lead Ventures , Warsaw Equity Group , and 4growth VC .
