Doktorka Mária Šíbiková pracuje v Botanickom ústave a centre biológie rastlín a biodiverzity Slovenskej akadémie vied, kde skúma rôzne rastlinné spoločenstvá.

Spoločne s kolegami, botanikmi a zoológmi zo Slovenskej akadémie vied, zrealizovali terénny výskum v okolí projektu Southbank, ktorý sa nachádza v blízkosti významných Bratislavských luhov a areálu Soví les.

Ich odporúčania sú postupne zapracovávané tímom architektov a projektantov. Takto sa v rámci areálu Southbanku podarí zachovať vzácne stromy, znížiť dopady výstavby na okolitú prírodu, či vytvoriť miesta, ktoré budú obľubovať tunajší zvierací „obyvatelia“.

Bory Kindergarten 🛝

The modern kindergarten in Bory, which was built by Penta Real Estate and then gifted to the Lamač district, has opened its doors for the fourth time today.

With an area of 993 m², the nursery offers five classrooms, a modern kitchen, a dining room and a large communal courtyard, which is a great space for all sorts of games and fun. The nursery also focuses on the education of the children through various daily activities.

These include the 'Growing Healthy' programme, which focuses on healthy lifestyle; didactic and interactive technology; English lessons; or various training sessions and trips to museums or the theatre.

We wish the kindergarteners another year full of fun, new knowledge and new experiences!

Dog therapists also "work" at the Trebišov Hospital 🐕

Thanks to its proven effects, canistherapy is becoming increasingly popular in the treatment of mental illness in psychiatric wards. Animals help patients with anxiety, negative thoughts and can be a powerful support during difficult times.

Thanks to these, and many other positive factors, therapy with dogs is becoming more and more popular. For 5 years now, human's best friend has been visiting patients directly at the Penta Hospitals Trebišov.

Recently, the number of therapies has increased substantially thanks to the Dôvera insurance company, which financially supports the implementation of canistherapy across Slovak hospitals. Four-legged therapists thus bring positive energy to the hospital, which significantly improves the mental and physical state of patients.

The construction preparations on the place where the new hospital will stand have already started 🔨

Spišská Nová Ves Hospital was handed over to the main contractor who will be responsible for the construction. This important step marks the beginning of the preparation works. The actual construction of the new hospital will commence this autumn.

Spišská Nová Hospital will open its doors at the end of 2028 and will feature a new maternity ward, a children's ICU, new operating theatres and an intensive care unit. Before 2028, the existing part of the building will also be renovated, which will later be naturally connected to the new building.

For patients from Spišská Nová Ves and the surrounding area, this will significantly increase the availability and quality of health care.

Ladislav Turányi a Peter Blasbalg: Charkov – "Keď zaznejú sirény, raketa už niekde dávno dopadla" 🎙️🇺🇦

Minulé leto sa náš PR tím vybral na cestu na Ukrajinu, kde okrem Kyjeva navštívil aj jeho predmestia Buča či Irpiň, ktoré boli najviac zasiahnuté počas ruského postupu na Kyjev. Hrôzy, ktoré so sebou táto vojna prináša, trvajú aj naďalej... 

Časť nášho PR oddelenia, Kanaďan Jeff a kolega z Treasury oddelenia Penty sa rozhodli Ukrajinu navštíviť aj tento rok. Tentokrát ich cesta viedla ďalej – do mesta Charkov, ktoré sa nachádza len pár kilometrov od frontovej línie, kde sa vedú aktívne boje.

Peťo Blasbalg, ktorý pracuje na pozícii Social Media Specialist, a Laci Turányi, Treasurer v Pente, nám v najnovšom Penta Podcaste povedali viac o ich ceste do ďalekého Charkova, o miestnej charite, ktorú vedie vždy optimisticky naladený a rýchlo jazdiaci Otec Vojtek, či o tom, ako vyzerá bežný deň vo vojnovej zóne.

V podcaste nám prezradili aj to, aká je aktuálna nálada obyvateľstva na Ukrajine, aké hrozivé obrazy dnes všetkým pripomínajú tvrdé boje v panelákovej štvrti Saltivka, a čo im návšteva Charkova osobne dala.

The new residents will first go through the shared areas, where they will test whether all the keys fit properly. Then they will find out everything they need to know about the apartment and check the overall condition of the handed-over apartment.
