On October 23rd, PerformRx clinical pharmacist Christine Payne, PharmD , participated in the annual hAPPE Hour at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Saint Joseph’s University. This event, organized by student chapters of APhA-ASP, PLS, Rho Chi, IPhO, AMCP, and DIA, provided a platform for local pharmacy student preceptors to engage with students exploring various APPE rotations in the greater Philadelphia area. Christine represented PerformRx, sharing insights about our patient care elective APPE rotations and PGY-1 residency program with dozens of students. On October 23rd, members of the Clinical Market Intelligence team, pharmacists Patrick DeHoratius and Megan Henry, along with PerformRx resident Eilaf Ismail, met with students from Jefferson College of Pharmacy to explore career opportunities for pharmacists in the managed care field. Patrick and Megan provided an overview of the various roles pharmacists play across departments such as Prior Authorization, Clinical Market Intelligence, Formulary Management, and Account Management. Patrick also offered insights into management responsibilities, while Eilaf shared details about our Residency Program and addressed questions about the application process.
