David Hirschmann, Co-Head of Permira Credit, joined Bloomberg’s Dani Burger yesterday for a good discussion about the evolving market conditions and the positive outlook for private debt in 2024.

Among other topics, David commented on the potential return of the syndicated loan market in 2024 and shared his view that private credit funds could be on course to provide a record $10bn loan this year or next.

We are pleased to announce that David Hirschmann and Ariadna Stefanescu have been appointed as Co-Heads of Permira Credit, positioning our #privatecredit platform for further accelerated growth. In their new roles, David and Ariadna are responsible for overall leadership of the business as Permira Credit embarks on ambitious growth plans for 2024 and beyond.

As part of the leadership transition, Claire Harwood and Jens Bauer have been appointed Co-Heads of the Direct Lending Investment Team.

Permira has agreed the sale of La Piadineria, a market leader in the growing Italian fast casual restaurant space, to CVC Capital Partners.

The Permira funds acquired La Piadineria at the beginning of 2018 and have supported the management team in Company’s transformation and growth, with both revenues and EBITDA growing three-fold under the funds’ ownership, while DOS and employee numbers have increased from 160 to 400 and c.1,000 to more than 2,500 respectively.

It was a pleasure to host a networking dinner earlier this week during the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco. The event was an opportunity to connect senior advisers, firm and portfolio company leaders, and executives from across the healthcare industry.
