We’re thrilled to announce that the Port Of Friday Harbor and Photon Marine have been awarded a $7M grant from the Washington State Department of Transportation to decarbonize and electrify its operations, including deploying three electric workboats powered by Photon’s electric outboard motors, high-speed charging stations, upgraded marina pedestals, an electric boat lift, and a solar canopy and microgrid. Marine electrification is all about ecosystem development, and our friends at the Port joined a host of Photon’s partners to create a compelling vision that will serve as a model for small ports all around the world!
