Our Moorefield, WV, facility recently donated $2,250 to the Petersburg Junior High football team for the purchase of 30 guardian caps to enhance player safety. The caps, which provide an added padded layer to reduce impact, are essential as the team works to protect athletes and address concerns about concussions in youth football. Great work, team Moorfield!

Today, we released our 2023 Sustainability Report. Pilgrim’s is striving to set the food industry standard for profitable and sustainable food production as we work to feed the ever-growing global population. A few highlights from our report include: -20% decrease in scope 1 and 2 emission intensity from 2019-2023. -130+ GHG emission reduction projects have been approved. -100% of internal and external audits on animal welfare and transportation passed across Pilgrim’s Europe and Mexico facilities. -24% improvement in the Global Safety Index performance since 2022. Recently, our DeQueen, AR, facility hosted a health fair for team members to receive free health screenings. Snacks and prizes for team members that participated in the event were given out after the screenings were completed. Great work, DeQueen!

Our Lufkin, TX, and Nacogdoches, TX, facilities recently partnered with A&D Hydraulics to support local youth at the Pineywoods County Fair youth livestock sale. Lufkin and Nacogdoches worked together to purchase the Grand Champion Broiler and several other animals exhibited at the fair. Great work giving back to your communities, Lufkin and Nacogdoches!

We are proud to announce that we recently won the “Think Big Award” at the Amazon Symposium. The award was received for a recent transition of our chicken products from a net weight to a variable weight in order to meet Amazon’s growing needs. Pilgrim's supplies Just Bare branded chicken to Amazon Fresh.

Our Mount Pleasant, TX, facility hosted a Family Fun Day for team members and their families. A meal was provided for all attendees and games were set up for the kiddos to enjoy. Many prizes including a washing machine, TVs, a refrigerator, coolers, and more were given away. Sounds like a great time, Mount Pleasant!

Congratulations to our Mount Pleasant, TX, west facility on celebrating 1 million safe man hours. This achievement means that Mount Pleasant west has operated 1 million hours without an injury occurring. Keep up the fantastic work, Mount Pleasant!

Pilgrim's Pride is the second-largest poultry producer in the US (58% of 2023 sales), the UK (30% including other European sales), and Mexico (12%). Its UK and European arm also includes pork operations from the 2019 acquisition of Tulip. Pilgrim's sells to chain restaurants, food processors, food distributors, and retail chains. most of its US and Mexican sales come from fresh chicken, while prepared chicken and pork constitute most of its UK and European sales. JBS owns more than 80% of Pilgrim's Pride's outstanding shares, though it failed to acquire the remaining stake in 2021 after a special board committee deemed JBS' offer undervalued Pilgrim's Pride.
