Singles Day 2024! What does this year look like? We've broken down the data as reported by China's biggest online portal sina.com The latest 11.11 numbers show a significant uptick across multiple platforms, reflecting shifts in Chinese e-commerce: - JD.com : User count up 20% YoY; orders via live-streaming surged by 3.8x. - Tmall: 589 brands topped ¥100 million, a 46.5% increase YoY. - Douyin (TikTok China): GMV increased by 91% YoY. - Live-streaming: Li Jiaqi’s stream featured over 1,700 brands, with domestic products dominating and Live-streaming saw some of the biggest increases YoY. Overall we can say that Singles Day 2024 was a success for brands in China with some notable sales increases in wellness and fitness products. Singles Day has certainly evolved over the years, with the sale events starting earlier and earlier each year. For 2024 11.11 discounts started as early as late September/early October. This shift has taken some of the magical spark that made Singles Day such an event each year, and while sales were strong and increases were seen across many product categories, brands can't just rely on this one shopping festival anymore to drive their sales. #China #Shopping #SinglesDay #1111
