Today, we are presenting another "hidden sensor": Smart Coffee Dosing.

WHAT IT IS
In coffee processing, fast and accurate weighing of green and roasted coffee is critical. A position sensor inside the PROBAT modulating slider enables faster weighing of small quantities of coffee between 10 and 20 kg by automatically and continuously adjusting the coarse gap of the slider.

WHAT IT DOES
- The degree of opening of the coarse gap is calculated according to the preselected amount of coffee. 
- A position sensor on the slider cylinder moves it to the appropriate position. As soon as a certain amount of coffee has been dosed, the system control moves the dosing unit to the fine gap position. 
- In the process, the previous actions are analyzed, the appropriate adjustments are made, and the time required for weighing is significantly reduced.
