Proximar Seafood is a Norwegian land-based salmon farming company with its first production facility currently initiating production at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan. The company's land-based facility is expected to serve fresh salmon to Japanese consumers from 2024, ensuring high-quality production and stable harvest volumes all year round with minimal use of water, electricity, and additives.

Proximar is located by the iconic Mt Fuji in Japan, where salmon will be farmed in pure ground water. The chosen location will let us serve several of the major cities in Japan, with the 38 million inhabitants in greater Tokyo just 90 minutes away. The Proximar team consist of highly experienced professionals, with significant footprints in the salmon farming industry and construction management.
