Born in Bartow, Florida, Natalie dreamed of working for Publix. She started her career in 2018 and is now the Manager of Employee Assistance Programs.

“I have always been a hard worker, when I got the opportunity to work for Publix, I was ready to rock it and do whatever I needed to do to work hard and excel.“

Natalie has faced many challenges throughout her life but is motivated by those who have fought for African Americans and minorities to provide the opportunities that she has today.

“My journey has never been easy and nothing has ever just been given to me. “

“I have learned to embrace who I am, people in my past have fought so hard for me to be where I am today. I am very proud of where I came from, and I welcome the obstacles and tackle them head-on because I know it is God's way of preparing me. “

Our relationship with Special Olympics began in 1972, when our founder George Jenkins provided funding for Special Olympics Florida athletes to attend the world games.

Thanks to the generosity of our customers and associates, we raised more than $6.4 million in 2023 for Special Olympics athletes to train and compete free of cost.

Meet Publix Truck Driver Mike P., or should we say, “Santa.” During the holiday season, Mike is known for donning a Santa suit (handmade by his mom in 1978) to bring cheer to all who spot him on the interstate.

After Mike parks his “sleigh,” he continues sharing his jolly spirit by visiting children’s homes and senior living facilities. Mike says that to him, the holiday season is about “putting aside your day-to-day in order to spread goodwill to others.”
