Improving Breathing and Quality of Life for Emphysema and Advanced COPD Patients | Pulmonx has developed the Zephyr Endobronchial Valve, a minimally invasive treatment for COPD/emphysema. The one-time procedure is done by bronchoscopy and requires no cutting or incisions. During the procedure, on average 4 tiny valves are placed in the airways to block off the diseased parts of the lung which allows trapped air to escape until the lobe is reduced.

Pulmonx Corporation, a medical technology company, provides minimally invasive devices for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. It offers Zephyr Endobronchial Valve, a solution for the treatment of bronchoscopic in adult patients with hyperinflation associated with severe emphysema; and Chartis Pulmonary Assessment System, a balloon catheter and console system with flow and pressure sensors that are used to assess the presence of collateral ventilation.
