Quartus Engineering is thrilled to be supporting the development of the UVEX (UltraViolet Explorer) space observatory in partnership with UC Berkeley’s Space Sciences Laboratory and the California Institute of Technology. UVEX is a NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Medium Explorer Mission (MIDEX), led by Professor Fiona Harrison of Caltech , to explore the ultraviolet sky, with an expected launch date in 2030. For this weeks installment of #TechnicalTuesday , we are highlighting the publication of recent work by Quartus that proposes a method for deriving environments for subcomponents while accounting for mission manifest uncertainty (e.g. placement, properties, and number of subcomponents). The proposed procedure uses a simplified modeling approach to enable execution of thousands of simulations.
