Last week, we announced that our portfolio company, SCI Flooring, added Carpetbaggers, Inc. to its growing flooring platform. This marks the platform’s second add-on acquisition, following United Carpet in October 2023.

In partnership with our portfolio company, SCI Flooring, Rainier is pleased to announce the platform’s second add-on acquisition, Carpetbaggers, Inc., further strengthening the platform’s regional market position.

Carpetbaggers offers flooring installation services in the greater Indianapolis metro area, with a core focus on multi-family tenant turnover and new construction. This acquisition will allow SCI to build depth and reinforce regional leadership in the Midwest.

We’re proud to share our 2023 year in review, showcasing firm and portfolio company highlights. Early in the year, we hit a firm milestone with the closing of Rainier’s inaugural $300 million fund. Our investors include foundations, global asset managers, insurance companies, pension plans, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
 
We also launched our formalized value creation strategy called SUMMIT and are proud to apply this collaborative approach throughout our portfolio — including our newest platform investments, SCI Flooring and Omega Fitness. We worked in tandem with our outstanding management teams to develop and expand our portfolio companies by adding United Carpet to SCI Flooring and hiring five new leaders across the portfolio.
 
We’re also proud of Rainier’s growth as we added four new members to our team — Benjamin Painter as Chief Financial Officer, Salmaan Amin as Associate, Shiven Mohindra as Analyst, and Bory K. as our Executive Assistant. We are incredibly grateful to our entire team for everything they do to embody the Rainier approach every day.
