#COP28 in Dubai concluded a week ago with 198 parties agreeing on solutions to the climate emergency. Among some of the issues highlighted:
 
🔥 The need to "transition away from fossil fuels in a fair, orderly and equitable manner"
🍃 Achieving net zero emissions by 2050, reducing emissions by 43% (2030) and 60% (2035), compared to 2019 values
🌞 Tripling the global renewable capacity and doubling the global average annual rate of improvement in energy efficiency (2030)
🌬 Accelerating zero and low emission technologies, such as renewables, nuclear, carbon capture and storage
🚗 Reducing emissions in road transport through infrastructure development and the adoption of low-emission vehicles
🤝 Launching the "Loss and Damage Fund" to help developing countries that suffer most from the consequences of climate change

There is cause for optimism from #COP28. We’re proud to be a company that is providing renewable energy solutions that the world needs.
 
The next climate summit will be held in Azerbaijan in 2024.

Over the past ten years, Inés has had a successful political career in Spain, serving as a deputy and opposition leader in the Parliament of Catalonia, a member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies and president of the Ciudadanos Party. Inés now returns to the private sector to help consolidate and expand Recurrent Energy's activities worldwide, leading the company's ESG strategy, corporate communications, public affairs and institutional relations.
