Rendesco is the UK’s leading clean energy tech developer and operator, using ground source technology to decarbonise Britain’s buildings with low-cost heat and hot water.

Clean Growth Fund, Eurazeo’s Smart City fund, and Aviva Ventures will join our existing investor, Copley Point Capital, to help accelerate our ambitious growth and innovation plans to reduce consumer energy bills, decarbonise heat at scale, and provide a low-carbon alternative to gas grid infrastructure. The funding will also help broaden our climate technology capabilities with more intelligent and consumer-centric home energy management systems.

Last week we announced that we’ve raised £6m which will be directly channelled into innovation that improves the efficiency and affordability of our clean heat networks, enabling them to be deployed at a much greater scale than air source heat pumps.

Alongside our existing investor Copley Point Capital, Clean Growth Fund, Eurazeo’s Smart City fund, and Aviva Ventures will enable us to expand our heat network projects even further, advancing our end goal to replace gas heating with clean heat networks, and significantly reduce the carbon emissions associated with heating in the UK and Europe.

Heat Networks are an essential part of the UK’s plans to decarbonise heating in our homes and buildings, however, the sector will need an estimated 35,000 skilled jobs in order to meet the current target of heat networks supplying one fifth of the UK’s heat and hot water needs by 2050. 🎯
 
A significant skills growth will be pivotal for our industry to deliver low-carbon heating across towns and cities throughout the UK and to reach the decarbonisation goals set by the government.
