We blinked and October was over, checked out what we were up to! Women's Leadership Summit - a few of our wonderful architects attended this The American Institute of Architects (AIA) conference in Chicago and had an absolute blast. Ventura County Housing Conference - This local conference hosted by Housing Opportunities Made Easier is one our Ventura team appreciate deeply. Our very own Nick Deitch and Tony Tomasello were honored to have the opportunity to speak on a panel regarding transforming single-use public land into vibrant civic places. A4LE-Association for Learning Environments Conference - Our architects left feeling empower and excited about designing education facilities after attending the sessions at this year's A4LE conference! Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California (NPH) Conference - The team enjoyed their time in San Francisco as they engaged with housing industry peers and clients. The conference offered great learning opportunities too! San Francisco YIMBY Event - Our team is always excited to attend a YIMBY event. Architect, Byron Wong, had a great time engaging in discourse about supporting the development of much-needed housing. Southern California Association of NonProfit Housing (SCANPH) Conference - The attendees for this year's SCANPH Conference represented our multidiscipline team well with architects, engineers, and urban planners ready to learn about and design affordable housing for all. Home Builders Association of the Central Coast Golf Tournament - We look forward to attending this event every year, and are always impressed by what the HBA puts together. We hope everyone enjoyed our brunch bar! Monterey Design Conference - Nishat Subah Peau from our Santa Barbara office was enjoyed this learning opportunity in Monterey.

October is Employee Ownership Month and we take that celebration seriously here at RRM. One of the ways that we empower our co-owners is the Owners Open Forum (OOF). This event occurs four times a year and allows the team to present ideas to the Board of Directors for consideration. Some past OOFs have been RRM Draws for a Cause, a Will Workshop, and creation of our Environmental Stewardship Committee. We know that we go farther when we all row the boat in the same direction, and the OOF allows innovative ideas to float right to the decision makers. #esop #rrm #rrmdesign

Our team kicked off the fall with a ton of engaging conferences, retreats, site visits, and more. Take a look at RRM's September: Architecture Retreat: The architecture team across offices got together on the Central Coast and had the best time! They were able to dive into shared processes, get to know each other, and take a trip to the beautiful Montana de Oro State Park. Grand Opening & Site Visits: A few of our planners, architects, and landscape architects were able to attend the grand opening of Greenbriar Village, one of our recently completed projects! We also got out to visit the construction happening at Zumwalt Park. Golf Tournaments: RRMers attended both the Friends of Camp Concord golf tournament up north and the APWA golf tournament in southern California. It was a great opportunity to support their charitable efforts and engage with industry peers. Leadership Offsite Events: Our incredible and hardworking leaders got together to collaborate and discuss the way we do things at RRM. Their efforts are what keep us producing the highest quality work for our clients possible. Conferences: Our team has been at many conferences this month learning about our industry and engaging with our peers. PSMJ's Thrive conference is focused on promoting business success for A/E/C firm leaders, focusing this year on A.I., strategic planning, and the impacts of generational shifts in the workplace. Mike Sherrod & Kayla Szubielski attended Mobility21 in southern California eager to learn about the multifaceted mobility sector and the arising needs in our communities. Kayla also traveled to Atlanta for APWA's annual expo following her recognition by the SoCal APWA Chapter as an emerging leader! Lastly, our planners attended another incredible, jam packed APA California conference this year in Riverside! #RRM #RRMDesign
