Saab with Gripen E was one of the winners in Aviation Week Network 's 66th annual and prestigious Laureates awards 2024. The prize was presented at a grand ceremony ​in Washington, DC March 14.

Aviation Week Network in November 23 announced the winners of the 66th Annual Laureate Awards, honoring outstanding achievements in aviation, aerospace & defense. Saab with Gripen E was one of the winners in its category and received the prize during a grand ceremony at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. in Washington, DC March 14.

The award categories was Commercial Aviation, Defense, Space, Business Aviation, and MRO. In the defense category “Saab Gripen E” was one of the winners, with the following nomination:

“The Saab Gripen E entered service with the Brazilian Air Force in December 2022, marking a milestone in development of a next-generation version of the Swedish fighter. ​​With Brazil’s selection of the Gripen E/F in December 2013, the program became a joint development effort with Brazilian industry joining Saab’s supplier partners. The first series production Gripen E for Sweden was handed over in October 2023.”
