In addition, the company offers business owners policies that cover apartments and residential condominiums, restaurants, office condominiums, processing and services businesses, special trade contractors, and wholesalers. Further, it provides personal umbrella policies, which provide personal excess liability coverage over and above the limits of individual automobile, watercraft, and homeowner's insurance policies; and commercial umbrella and business owner policies, as well as underwrites dwelling fire insurance for non-owner-occupied residences. It distributes its products through independent agents. The company was formerly known as Safety Holdings Inc and changed its name to Safety Insurance Group, Inc. in April 2002. For our last Intern Spotlight of the summer, we would like to highlight Noah Safar ! Noah attends the University of Tampa pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. He chose UT because he wanted to be somewhere warm year-round, live in a city, and liked that the average class size is about 20 students. He also loved the layout and how it is located on the Hillsborough River directly across from the heart of downtown Tampa. For fun, Noah enjoys weightlifting, running, fly fishing, traveling, and researching stocks. We extend our appreciation for his contributions and are thrilled to share the news that Noah will be returning to us after graduation, having accepted a full-time position at Safety!

Meet Steven Schneekloth ! Steven is attending The University of Alabama , pursuing a degree in accounting. He chose to go to the University of Alabama because he wanted to go to school in a different part of the country and attend a great business school. Alabama checked both of those boxes. He is part of a fraternity where he has held several leadership positions. In his free time, he likes to hang out with family and friends, as well as watch sports, play golf, and go fishing. We are thankful for his contributions and happy we will have Steven back upon graduation as he has accepted a full-time position at Safety!

Up next for our intern of the week is Luke Desmond ! Luke is a rising senior at The University of New Hampshire pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA). He transferred to UNH after completing his freshman year at Michigan State University, because the ISBA program piqued his interest in analytics, and UNH offered room for growth and a sense of familiarity. He is a part of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at UNH which is a leadership and development fraternity. Luke likes to play golf, and basketball, likes to do puzzles, and spends a lot of time with friends and family. We are happy to announce that after Luke completed his internship with us, he accepted a full-time position with us. We can’t wait to see what your future holds.

Meet our first intern of the week! Emma Forsyth ! Emma attends the University of North Carolina Wilmington and is pursuing a Business Degree focusing on Marketing. She chose UNC because it has a great business program and liked the area where the school is located—right near the beach! She is involved in the Marketing club and, in her spare time, likes to sail, shop, read, crochet, and watch reality TV. Thank you for your time and contributions this summer. We wish you well!
