Incredible food & drinks from the team at Inn the Park, Winchester, as we distilled ‘Inn the Gin’ London Dry gin live for guests. The spirit used botanicals picked from the herb garden, directly infront of the restaurant & we used it to make everyone martinis, for their final drink of the evening. With reports that 1 in 3 visits to On-trade venues are now alcohol free, it is brilliant that our award winning New London Light 'First Light' non-alcoholic spirit was listed as the #1 great tasting alcohol free tipple in The Telegraph yesterday in an article by Phil Hilton . Described as 'One of the best 0% spirits. Aimed at lovers of classic gin, it has undertones of juniper, citrus and ginger. Outstanding.' I for one am really enjoying reducing my alcohol intake, drinking less but better, and enjoying the ritual of pouring myself a New London Light and tonic on a weekday evening. As you may have already seen, the exquisite Bruce Manro Field of Lights display has been installed here in Salcombe to raise money and to commemorate the RNLI’s 200th anniversary. Can you believe that this piece of artwork uses less electricity per day than it takes to boil a kettle?! It has been all over the world including NYC, Australia, Spain, and Texas. Bruce chose Salcombe because like so many of us, Salcombe and the RNLI hold a special place in his heart 💜 A few of our team were lucky enough to volunteer and after helping install the final few pieces it seemed fitting to raise a glass of ‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe Gin (which also supports the RNLI) with Bruce’s team and their wonderful group of volunteers. The display is up until the 10th January next year, so make sure you go and see it whilst you still can!
