We celebrate the #solidarity that has been displayed these days in Valencia after the #DANA . We are particularly moved by the rapid mobilization of our employees, partners, and the team of the two solidarity kitchens “El Puchero” we manage in the city, together with “Fundación Coordinadora Solidaria del Puerto de Valencia”. Many volunteers from our large SanLucar family are helping with a single objective: to alleviate the impact of the tragedy on people's lives. Hot meals prepared in our solidarity kitchens are being distributed in the affected areas, as well as fresh fruit & vegetables, water, clothes, cleaning equipment or hygiene products. Moreover, economic donations from our clients, employees and partners are also being collected. A gesture that will result in increased contributions for those affected. We would like to thank all the #growers for their invaluable help and support to those affected by the #DANA in Valencia. Another stop on our trip to #China ! This time we visited the city of Hangzhou where we met with the leading company Xianfeng Fruit Company . This important retail brand operates 2200 stores in East China and 21 warehouses. What an honour to meet their co-founder and vice president, Cunhong Zhang, and to talk to the responsibles of the fruit and vegetable departments. We would like to thank all our partners and contacts in China for their interest in our premium brand and for allowing us to fulfill together our dream of bringing the best fruit and vegetables to every corner of the world. Last week, the first-year students of the Inholland University of Applied Sciences following the program Food Commerce & Technology visited us at our distribution center in the Netherlands 🚚 . As the future lies in the hands of young professionals, our doors are always open to share our expertise and knowledge in the production and distribution of premium fruit and vegetables worldwide. Thanks to our colleagues Philippe Coerten , Joel Versteeg and Vicente Santacatalina , the students gained an insight in the importance of logistics and supply chain management within the agrifood industry.
